Here it is, the stuff I sewed in 2011. I didn't do any knitting like I wanted to, but I was far more productive than usual. I got done, on average, just over one project a month, which was my original goal for the year. I think I can up my productivity for next year a little bit. I made two skirts in the past month. Both of them pretty easy, simple projects, and both of them using up leftover cotton from my quilt.

I'm working on one of those projects where it seems like everything keeps going wrong. I accidentally cut out the yoke wrong, so I had two back pieces the same side. And now, when I put things in the pockets, they hang below the bottom by a smidge. The problem with using leftovers is that there isn't enough fabric to recut. So I had to piece the ( Read more... )

Now, 2/3 quilt leftovers are used up. The apron was one, and the tank dress was going to be another. However, after sewing together the skirt and trying it on with the tank top, the skirt actually works better on its own. I put pockets into it which is a big plus. But the skirt is not quite full enough to handle having much stuff in the pockets, ( Read more... )
